Sunlight drips off a pale wash of violet
Cascading through the holes in my conscience.
Above, a brilliant wafer cuts through the growing darkness,
Belligerent and proud...but it's a fake.
A glamorous mirror glittering promises like a dry rainstorm
I turn to you frustrated by the moon's audacity,
And see them,
Your Eyes,
Dazzling fiercely,
As if the moon itself was merely a reflection of your will.
They encompass the heavens,
The Milky Way sparkles inside spheres
Hewn from the very soul of the universe.
As I gaze into this endless space of your own,
It feels as if creation itself is flowing into the very fibers of my being,
Creativity and knowledge;
Hypothesis, sacred ancient understanding;
Bloom and wither
Like sunflowers living  in fast forward.
Your innocence swallows the night,
And me with it.
And as you finally turn your gaze to me,
I can feel your vast wisdom,
And I am but the smallest speck,
Shivering in amazement at your beauty.
And in your smile...I feel the sun.
And in your smile...I finally understand the audacity of the moon.
